Moulding Processes
At the heart of our business, we are skilled engineers & moulders with
capabilities in a wide range of plastic and rubber materials.
Our diverse plastic and rubber moulding service and rubber or plastic to metal
bonding means we can offer a wide range of moulding possibilities and create
bespoke moulded components that meet your exact needs.
Our moulding process for Plastics offers:
- Thermoplastics high-pressure injection moulding utilising horizontal and vertical IMM equipment in ranges between 30-210 tonnes and high pressure Micro-moulding equipment ranging between 6-10T specifically targeting moulded components of small, intricate & precise accuracy, (Including the manufacture of Gear Formed items).
-  Thermoplastic low-pressure moulding for low volume moulding of large components, with irregular wall thickness capable of producing components with good strength, up to 1.5Kg’s.
- Thermoset compression and Thermoset Transfer moulding up to 150 tonnes for Epoxy, Phenolic, DMC, SMC, Flow mat compounds. With options of including filler content for extra component strength & reinforcement, such as, Glass, Kevlar & Carbon fibre
- Insert moulding with metal components and threaded inserts.
- Over moulding for two material components.
- High Performance & exotic grades of materials used for product re-design from metals to plastics for lower cost, loss weight & excellent temperature resistance and naturally Flame retardant to UL V0/5V Rating used within the Aerospace & M.O.D Sectors, such as, (PEEK, PPS, PEI , LCP & PSU) materials with glass, Kevlar, stainless steel and carbon fibre reinforcing options.
- Engineering grade materials such as, (Nylon 6, 66, 6/10, Nylon 11 & 12, Polycarbonates, ABSPC Alloy, ABS/Nylon Alloy, PBT, PPO/PPE, Acetal, PET and ABS). All available with filler content for improved structural strength where required.
- Commodity Grade materials for the lower cost business sectors, such as, (PP, PE <LDPE / HDPE>, TPE, TPU & Polystyrene)
We can provide you with a single source solution for all your moulding & assembly requirements.
From our experience of supplying technology sectors, we know our customers demand mouldings to exacting standards, in low, medium & high volumes and on short lead-times. We have consistently met these challenges by adopting lean manufacturing techniques and looking for Continuous Improvements in our operations.
Our moulding processes for Rubber offers:
- Compression and transfer rubber moulding equipment up to 175 tonnes with capability of producing single cavity or multi-cavity components depending upon the customer requirements. This could include development tooling before moving into IRR capability.
- Injection Repetition rubber (IRR) moulding up to 250 tonnes, for multi-cavity tooling capability for High Volume manufacture and faster cycling over conventional compression moulding or the option to manufacture components up to 2.5Kg.
- Rubber to metal bonding with aluminium, steel and brass components and rubber to rubber bonding of fabricated products.
- Seals and gaskets including fabric reinforced rubber, punched, cut or moulded.
- Wide range of natural and synthetic rubbers, silicones and fluor elastomers, in black and coloured compounds.
